Mais um post da série Studio Eleven “Early Days”.  Pra comemorar o dia do Rock, separei o especial com o Arctic Monkeys, pela primeira vez aqui no blog.

Em uma distante tarde do mês de julho de 2005, conversei com Alex Turner por telefone, em uma das ligações mais longas da minha carreira de entrevistador. Falamos sobre um monte de coisas, na primeira e única entrevista que Alex deu para uma rádio do Brasil. Na época, os Arctic Monkeys eram apenas 4 garotos ingleses,  que tinham acabado de lançar seu debut álbum, entrando de cara para a história do rock inglês,  com o disco que mais vendeu na semana de sua estreia.

Here is a very fine and inspiring video from this great london based four-piece band CHEETAHS. The track ‘Coared’ is from their debut 12″ EP released last June 25th on Marshall Teller Records. The EP is available here, limited to 300 colour vinyl and available via itunes.
The song and the video are gorgeous and contagious, truly impossible to listen and watch it only one time, so make sure you check it asap!

We are definitely not talking about Twin Peaks here, so please don’t be mistaken. ‘Laura Palmer is Dead’ is a brand new single from an awesome Oxford band called POLEDO, released last June 30th through Reeks of Effort Records.
Their song is a trip back to the 90’s reminding us some grunge pioneers such as Dinosaur Jr., etc. Make sure you listen below to their gorgeous track , plus it is available to free download here 🙂
